Corruptor: Modular Armor Set

Modular Game-Ready Female Character Armor
Epic Skeleton Rig + Custom Rigs + LODs

This armor set is fully modular and game-ready, built on the Epic Skeleton and supported by multiple simplified custom Unreal-based rig systems. It ensures seamless modularity with multiple Levels of Detail (LODs), movement-enhancing features, and both custom and corrective shapekeys for improved deformation.

A built-in Bone-Driven Deformation system, driven through a post-process Animation Blueprint, enhances animation quality. It includes rigid body physics for select components, as well as cloth simulation, optimized for lower LODs.

Additional features:

Dynamic material customization, allowing real-time color changes per part or globally through material functions

Optimized material switching for performance

A lightweight, performance-friendly Niagara-based VFX system for subtle embers

All together, this armor is designed for high-performance real-time gameplay and rendering.

Armor Modularity – By Parts
Head
Uses a simplified Unreal skeleton for independent movement if needed

Shoulders (Left & Right)
Each uses a custom-modified rig compatible with the Epic Skeleton; chains are controlled via rigid body physics

Chest

Legs

Wrists
Also use custom-modified rigs with physics-controlled chains

Hands

Waist
Includes custom rigging and bone-driven shapekey corrections; leather part movement is handled via rigid body physics

Feet

Armor Triangle Breakdown (LOD0)
Component Triangle Count
Head 13,980
Chest 9,590
Shoulders 7,443 × 2 = 14,886
Wrists 4,248 × 2 = 8,496
Hands 1,812 × 2 = 3,624
Waist 17,288
Legs 9,384
Feet 1,360 × 2 = 2,720
Trinkets (All 3) 17,088

PBR Workflow & Textures
Uses RGB-packed textures (AO, Metallic, Roughness)

Texture resolutions range from 1K to 4K, prioritized per asset

Materials are optimized with LOD-specific switches

Dynamic Emissive Control
A custom material function enables real-time control of emissive color, intensity, and strength. It supports both individual part control and global effects. This system also provides a scorching motion effect across the armor for added visual impact.

Designed For:
High-quality real-time gameplay

Rendering in Unreal Engine and Blender

Inspiration:
This armor is inspired by World of Warcraft’s iconic Warlock “Corruptor Regalia” set, reimagined and redesigned to fit my own creative vision.
